Questions firms ask.

From legacy software
to AI-native.

What changes, what stays, and how we work with a firm moving from the software it has to the system it needs.

Starting out

What does AI-native mean?

An AI-native application is designed from the start around what AI can now do, rather than having AI added to a process built for people copying information between screens. Agents carry the routine work across the systems your business already runs, and your people make the decisions that need judgment.

How is that different from adding AI to the software we already have?

A chatbot on top of a manual process, or a dashboard on top of scattered data, usually leaves the process as broken as it was. We start by mapping how the work actually happens, then decide what the system should do, and only then decide where AI belongs in it.

Do we have to replace our existing systems?

Usually not. Most firms keep their systems of record, such as accounting, ERP and CRM, and we build around them. We recommend replacing a system only when it is the thing stopping the work, and we will tell you why before anything changes.

Where do we start?

With one piece of work that matters: a process that is slow, manual, or spread across too many places. In the first stage we map it with the people who do it and agree what a good outcome looks like. You leave with a focused opportunity, or a clear answer that there is nothing worth building.

Who do you work with?

Established businesses in real estate and development, marketing, manufacturing and distribution, professional services and engineering, finance, and technology. What they share is a process that matters to the business and software that no longer fits how the work is done.

Working together

Can we work with you for one stage only?

Yes. Work with us for one stage or all four. Each stage ends with something your business keeps, and each builds on the one before it.

How long does it take?

It depends on the work. We agree the plan and timeline at the end of the first stage, before any build begins, and we deliver in focused phases so your team has something working early rather than everything at the end.

What does it cost?

We price each engagement once we understand the work, and we agree it in writing before we start. You will know the price before you commit to anything.

Who from our team needs to be involved?

The people closest to the work, early and throughout, and one person who owns the outcome. You do not need an in-house engineering team. We design, engineer and support what we build, and we involve your people at every stage so they can run it with confidence.

What happens after launch?

We learn from real use, support your team, and refine what matters. Responsibilities for monitoring, maintenance and improvement are defined in each engagement, so there is no question about who looks after the system.

Trust, data and ownership

Who makes the decisions, the AI or our people?

Your people. Everything we build is designed so the system proposes and a person decides. Work the system is unsure about is routed to a person rather than pushed through.

What if the AI gets something wrong?

It will, sometimes. AI systems misread, miss and misclassify, and they can sound confident when they are wrong. We design for that from the first stage: people review what matters, uncertain work goes to a person, and the system shows its reasoning so a mistake can be caught and corrected.

What happens to our data?

How your data is handled, where it is stored and who can process it are set out in the engagement agreement before we receive any of it. Please do not send confidential or sensitive information by email before an agreement is in place.

Who owns what you build?

Ownership is set out in the engagement agreement before work begins. Our aim is a system your firm owns and can keep building on, not another tool you rent.

Are you insured?

Yes. Tradewind Ops LLC carries business insurance, and we provide a certificate of insurance to your procurement or legal team on request.

What if there is nothing worth building?

We will say so. A clear answer at the first stage is worth more to you than a project that should not exist.
